Igudesman & Joo “A little Nightmare Music”
March 26, 2011
Berklee Performance Center, Boston, Massachusetts
Classical music comedy is finally back! Violinist Aleksey Igudesman and pianist Hyung-ki Joo have picked up the mantle of Anna Russell, Victor Borge and P.D.Q Bach and given it a 21st-century make-over. Like their predecessors, they’re serious musicians who have turned Europe’s most esteemed concert halls into comedy clubs–and this is their first time in Boston.
“A Little Nightmare Music” is a unique show, full of virtuosity, enchanting music and zany, outrageous humor. Ideal for audiences aged 8 to 88, this show is sure to captivate you and crack you up whether you’re a classical music enthusiast or the type who runs for cover, at the mere mention of Mozart.

off every time I see them, at the same time as being touched by their wonderful musicianship.
They got me, I’m a fan!“

“A Little Nightmare Music brings surrealism to the concert hall and takes its trousers down! Very musical, very engaging and very funny.
A Big Hand for A Little Nightmare Music’s Big Hands.“

“Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo played at my 80th birthday
celebrations. I nearly died laughing. I’d like to invite them back
for my 85th, but that might be considered reckless.….. Great
musicians, great fun.
BERNARD HAITINK — conductor
