Celebrated soprano, Hibla Gerzmava is making a long-awaited return to Carnegie Hall, after a smashing sold-out 2015 recital debut with pianist Ekaterina Ganelina, and her 2017 concert with Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra and Maestro Vladimir Spivakov.
Ms. Gerzmava enjoyed a meteoric rise on the international opera stage since becoming the Grand Prix winner of the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition. Her brilliant technique and luminous voice have captivated audiences at the Teatro alla Scala, Zürich Opera House, Bolshoi Theatre, Opéra national de Paris, and Royal Opera House and the Metropolitan Opera, where she’ll be back during the 2019/2020 season, appearing as Liu in Puccini’s Turandot.
Recital program will include masterworks for voice and piano, Russian lyrical songs and classical arias.
